about

This is my first special release of archival / demo recordings.

A collection of works which were recorded after my 2003 release TOUCHED BY THE SUN, and in the lead up to my 2007 album TERRAFIRMA.
I thought this would be of some interest to people, who are fans of my works such as Dickhead in a G-string, as the version featured here is the demo of that piece which was submitted to, and won, the SCALA FOOM Contest for Best Instrumental in 2004.
Other tracks here were also submissions to later SCALA FOOMs.
Blue Moon won in 2006.
The title track was submitted in 2005; did not win, but was given favourable reviews by the judges.

These recordings were all done on a TASCAM 424 4 track analog tape machine. They have been locked away for over 15 years. On listening to them in 2020, I thought they were quite good - not perfect - but worthy of release to a wider listener-ship.

They are made available for FREE, but I do appreciate a small payment if you are able.

about

Rob McDade SA, Australia

Rob's music is very eclectic. Playing multi-layered psychedelic guitar epics, incorporating loads of improvisation and unearthly sounds, Rob's performance is sure to entertain anybody with a true love of musical expression and an appreciation of instrumental virtuosity.
